MARTA KATAVIĆ







Marta Katavić (b. December 26, 2000) hails from Križevci, Croatia. In 2015, she published a children's picture book titled "Nebeska tvornica". She began her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 2019 and completed her master's degree in painting in 2024.
During her studies, Marta participated in group exhibitions all across Croatia and internationally, including in Belgrade (Serbia), Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and San Luis Potosí (Mexico). She held notable solo exhibitions at the City Museum of Križevci, Gallery Uža in Zagreb, T&AC Gallery in Bratislava (Slovakia), Lauba, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb.
For the academic years 2019/2020 and 2021/2022, she received commendations for her successful work at the academy. Subsequently, in 2023, she was awarded the Rector's Prize, the Audience Award at the "Erste fragmenti 19" competition, and graduated with great honors (Magna cum laude) from her undergraduate studies that same year. She also received the ALU Academic Council Award for the most successful graduates in the academic year 2023/2024 upon completing her studies. Additionally, in 2024, she received the "Kontrapunkt Vladimir Dodig Trokut award, Iva Vraneković- artist to artist“, at the 37th Salon of Young Artists.
In 2024, she completed a four-year program at the "School for Personal and Organizational Development" (ŠOOR) and the "Jungian Coaching School International," and enrolled in "Expressive Art Therapy."
