


Mimian Hsu is a Costa Rican artist with Taiwanese heritage. She graduated from the Universidad of Costa Rica (BA in Fine Arts) in 2004 and earned an Lic. degree in Fine Arts in 2009. Her work has been exhibited in numeour solos and group exhibition including: The Appearance: Art of the The Asian Diaspora in Latin America and the Caribbean, Americas Society, New York, USA (2024); El Hilo Vibrante at Museos del Banco Central, San José, Costa Rica; Más Allá el Mar Canta at the Times Art Center in Berlin, Germany (2021); Cubo Negro, Museo de Arte y Diseño Contemporáneo, San José, Costa Rica (2021); The Sun Teaches us that History is not Everything, Osage Gallery, Hong Kong, China (2018); Soul Mining, ASU Museum, Arizona, 2017; Bienarte, San José, Costa Rica (2009 and 2007); Central American Bienal, Tegucigalpa, Honduras (2008); and Bienal del Caribe, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (2003).
