Taiwanese artist Kao Ya-Ting, master in paiting from Taipei National University of the Arts, intergrates Chinese traditinoal landscape painting skills, Western impressionist techniques and real visual experiences into her works, creates splendid paintings with cultural depth and momentary memory.

To grant viewers a more intimate appreciation of works, Nunu Fine Art invited the artist Kao Ya-Ting to hold a workshop. First, Chen Pei-Yu, the antique specialist conducted an analysis on the composition, techniques and background story of the classical landscape paintings. Then, the artist shared the creation ideas, tributes to the classic, and the skills and inspirations behind her works. Finally, in the workshop, the participants made their own landscape paintings by carbon paper under the guide of Kao Ya-Ting, not only admiring art, but approaching and creating it.

“The title of this exhibition ‘Sparkling,’ means the shining, brilliant state of water. I hope I could catch this moment of state in my paintings and everyone could catch this moment of state in the flow of life.” Kao Ya-Ting said when she explained to the participants why she is so immersed in art creation.

Bringing their own artworks home, the participants also brought back the sparkling moment they experienced during the workshop—at which art and life encountered.
