Croatian artist Marta Katavić participated in Situacija: Salon mladih pt. 2, one of three exhibition programs presented as part of the 38th Youth Salon in Zagreb. Organized by the Croatian Association of Fine Artists and curated by Antun Sekulić, the program brought together 29 emerging artists across the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Galerija Kamba, Studio-galerija Klet, and the Autonomous Cultural Center Attack from September 8 to 24, 2026.
The Youth Salon is Croatia’s longest-running and largest national exhibition platform dedicated to visual artists under the age of 35. This edition of Situacija reconsidered conventional exhibition formats by presenting works in temporary structures conceived as spaces for encounter, performance, and artistic production. Extending beyond traditional gallery settings, the program explored how shifts in location and modes of display might reshape the relationships between artworks, artists, audiences, and the city.
